As you might be able to tell from my photos, I love to travel! One of the most incredible trips we’ve been on was a trip to Taiwan! I so, so enjoyed getting to experience Asian culture in this amazing way.

Most of our time on the trip was spent in Taipei. We rode a gondola into the mountains where we saw tea growing on the slopes and enjoyed a meal and tea service while there. We also went to a museum, saw a theatre production, enjoyed shopping, saw a panda bear and other animals at the zoo etc.

In addition, we took the train to do some side trips, which included a visit to Taichung City and Kaohsiung City. A friend of ours lives in Kaohsiung and we had fun sightseeing and sharing a few meals with his family. While there, we saw a gorgeous pond in the City with lotus pads and blossoms floating serenely on it. The setting was magnificent!

This photo print is of one of those lotus flowers in Kaohsiung. The lotus flower has various symbolic meanings across cultures, but one that’s mentioned is the symbol of purity because the flower rises from the muddy waters to emerge…beautiful and clean. As a Christian, I love this meaning, since God has called me to depend on His help and perfect purity to live my life.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” – 1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬
