Since my family and I live in the Midwest, New England is a long ways away and also one area of the country that we haven’t spent as much time in. That is, until one fall when we took a road trip to New England and spent 4 weeks at an AirBnb in Vermont!!

What an incredible trip it was! We did as much as we possibly could and visited all six states (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut) as well as Montreal, Canada!

While in Vermont, we toured a maple sugar farm, went to an outdoor farmers market, enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage, visited Robert Frost’s home and the Trapp Family Lodge. We also got to go apple picking and eat a cider donut at an heirloom orchard!

This photo of a weather-worn outbuilding was taken on the way back from one of our visits to the orchard. The White Birch trees were a lovely yellow and perfectly complement the red building. May it remind you of autumn and of the beauty that God has created!
